Mr. Steele, a Managing Director of JMH Capital, has been investing in private equity since 1993. Prior to joining JMH Capital, Mr. Steele was a Principal at Parthenon Capital where he made private equity investments into middle-market companies for recapitalizations, management buyouts, and restructurings. His specific responsibilities included generating and evaluating investment opportunities, transaction structuring, due diligence, and negotiation of terms and legal documentation.
Before Parthenon Capital, Mr. Steele worked at Electra Fleming Americas from 1993 to 2000. Prior to Electra, Mr. Steele was a senior Associate at Coopers & Lybrand where he organized and performed acquisition, divestiture and private placement transactions, an Associate at Heller Financial where he evaluated companies’ senior loans, mezzanine, and preferred stock investments, and an employee of Republic Bancorp.
Mr. Steele holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Business Administration from the New York University Stern School of Business. He was formerly a Director of numerous private companies including Career Education Corporation, Spheris (formerly Total eMed) and Family Bookstores, Inc.
